Valune is a general wellness app built on cutting-edge health science. It is not a licensed medical, nutritional, psychological, or addiction-treatment service, and it is not a medical device. Nothing in the app diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents any condition.
Always talk to a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing any diet, exercise, fasting, sleep, supplement, or recovery routine — especially if you are pregnant or nursing, under 18, managing a medical condition, taking medication, or have any history of an eating disorder or substance dependence. Use Valune at your own discretion and risk.
Valune is not for emergencies and does not provide crisis care. If you or someone else may be in danger:
Valune's calorie/energy (TDEE), macronutrient, body-composition, water, and hydration tools use standard formulas applied to the numbers you enter. They are estimates for general guidance only — not precise, clinical, or medical-grade measurements. Don't use them to self-treat.
Intermittent fasting is not appropriate for everyone. Do not fast without medical guidance if you are pregnant or nursing, under 18, diabetic or on blood-sugar medication, underweight, or have any history of disordered eating. Stop and seek help if you feel unwell.
Valune's sobriety tools are for self-support and reflection only. They are not a substitute for professional addiction treatment. Quitting some substances (including alcohol and benzodiazepines) suddenly can be dangerous — medically supervised detox may be necessary. Please work with a professional.
The mood, meditation, and mindset features are self-reflection tools, not therapy, counseling, or crisis care, and are not a diagnosis of any condition. If you're struggling, please reach out to a licensed professional or one of the crisis resources above.
If you live with or are recovering from an eating disorder, the calorie, fasting, and weight features may not be right for you. The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) and your care team can help.
Your trust matters. This explains what Valune collects, why, and the control you have. In short: we don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and your health information is yours.
Only to run the app for you — to save your entries, sync them across your devices, show your progress back to you, and (if you turn them on) send in-app reminders. That's it.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, and we never share it for advertising. We share data only with the service providers listed above — Supabase, Anthropic, Stripe, PostHog, and Vercel — strictly so the app can function on your behalf, or if required by law. Data read from Health Connect / Apple Health is used only inside the app, for you, and is never sold or shared with third parties.
Valune is not intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your associated data from our systems (backups may persist for a limited period before rotation).
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
Questions, or want your data deleted? Email support@valune.app.
